The therapeutic relationship is one of collaboration: we work together with our clients to bring about change.

We look to improve symptoms, promote insight into the underlying causes of problems and develop healthy skills to manage difficult emotions. We use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Schema-Focused Therapy and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in our work with clients.

Whilst the model used is dependent on the individual and the problem presented, we predominantly use CBT in our practice, in line with NICE guidelines. CBT, MCBT, Schema-Focused Therapy and Focal Psychoanalytic Therapy can be used to help anyone - regardless of ability, culture, race or gender. They can be used on their own or in conjunction with medication depending on the nature or severity of each client’s problem.

Please see a fuller explanation of each model by clicking on the link in the right hand panel.
